Smokin' Mirrors
In
a world where behemoth corporations dominate every major form of media
distribution, we sometimes think we’re crazy for even attempting
to make independent films. But considering that this is all we know how
to do -- unqualified for any other job, unskilled at any other form of
labor -- we have accepted this as our challenge in life. Through our projects
and the work of like-minded artists, we are hoping to wake up our comatose
society and transform it into one that is freethinking and harmonious.
Yet, we continue to live by the words of our patron saint, Cesar Chavez,
who once said something like, “Work your ass off, and don’t
expect anything!”
Making the music video
When seeking bands to work with on music videos, our business friends
have told us to say this about ourselves: “To underground musical
artists, Smokin’ Mirrors is the affordable choice for film and digital
video production services that captures the artists’ personalities
and garners them attention because Smokin’ Mirrors itself was founded
as an artist collective and maintains a core philosophy of bringing to
the public works of independent artists.”
We believe in the strength and vision of independent artists. If music
is the only true art form, we compliment that with our work as best we

A little background on Smokin’ Mirrors
Smokin' Mirrors started out as an artist collective in a loft in Downtown
LA in 1997. We have since transformed into a film production collective,
specializing in music videos, independent features and documentaries.
